Anthony Scott Cunningham was born on September 6th, 1974. He passed away from a brain aneurysm on February 24, 2024. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Roy E Cunningham and Nancy Burke Cunningham and his older Brother, Kevin D. Cunningham.

Anthony graduated from Wilson Memorial. Anthony worked before he had a stroke on November 20, 2019 at Neuman Aluminum. After his massive stroke, he was airlifted from Augusta to UVA and spent 1 month in the ICU at UVA.

Special Recognitions go to Neuman Aluminum for calling to find Anthony a landlord at PMV. Thanks to Monroe Health & Rehab for Anthony where he had been a patient since October 2022 and the caring family and staff that helped him.

Anthony enjoyed travel, hockey, and music of all kinds. He would go to concerts and also played guitar. He also loved movies.

Anthony is survived by Brother, Craig E. Cunningham of Goshen, VA ; 4 Uncles, Edward Burke (Gail) of Augusta Springs, VA, Wayne Burke (Ann) of Augusta Springs, VA, Ronald Burke (Louise) of Swoope, VA, and Fred Burke (Debbie) of Goshen, VA, as well as numerous cousins.

In lieu of flowers, please give to the American Heart Association.

Family night will be from 5pm to 8pm on Friday, March 1, 2024 at McDow Funeral Home. A private family burial will be held at Edgewood Cemetery at Mt. Horeb Presbyterian Church on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 2pm.
