Arlene Mary (Pieniaszek) Harris, 80, a resident of the Stuarts Draft Retirement Community, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Augusta Health. Mrs. Harris was a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, friend and neighbor who spread joy, had a servant's heart and loved unconditionally.

Mrs. Harris was born August 21, 1943 in Rochester, New York, a daughter of the late Louis and Lottie (Michaloski) Pieniaszek. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and US veteran, James John Harris; her sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Bernie Shirmer; brother and sister-in-law Walter and Rita Penazek; Brother and sister-in-law Bernard and Gloria Pensek; Brother and sister-in-law Leon and Lorraine Penazek.

Arlene's surviving siblings are Dolores Hawryliak (late husband James), Brother Ronald Pieniaszek (late wife Patricia) and Brother Richard Pieniaszek (wife Gail).

Arlene's surviving children are Christopher Ratigan (son) and wife Jennifer Ratigan; John Ratigan (son) and wife Lora Ratigan; and Tracy Hackert (daughter).

A celebration of Arlene's life will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, November 16,  2023 in the Chapel of McDow Funeral Home, Waynesboro, VA. Visitation hour precedes the service at 10:00am. Arlene was a compassionate giver to many charities.
