Betty Jean Lucas, 84, passed away Saturday June 21, 2025 in Waynesboro.

She was born February 15, 1941 to the late Grant and the late Alice Jane (Morris) Bruce of Grottoes, Virginia.

Predeceasing her in death are her parents, brothers, Lester Bruce, Billy Bruce, Earl Bruce and Robert Bruce; sisters, Madeline Bruce and Aurene Bruce; son, Donald Lucas.

Surviving family are daughters Brenda Seekford and her children April Stokes, Wendy Seekford, and Johnathan Seekford; Marie Madison and her children Michael Madison and Phillip Lucas; brother, Elwood Bruce; Twenty Six grandchildren and Twenty Six great grandchildren.

A Graveside service will be held  Friday 11:00 a.m. Friday June 27, 2025 at the Riverview Cemetery officiated by Pastor Ely Guzman.

There will be no public viewing.
