Blake Edward Groah, 23 years old, passed away on Monday, August 30, 2021, along with his twin brother, Austin Wade Groah.  The boys were born on October  3, 1997 and were both residents  of Waynesboro.  Both were graduates of Alleghany High School and were avid sports fans.

Blake enjoyed watching the Boston Red Sox and the Carolina Panthers.  He was also a fan of NASCAR, especially Kyle Busch. He had a passion for cars and motorcycles.  His favorite activity was always spending time with his brothers and family and just hanging out with their many friends.

Blake was preceded in death by his grandparents, Randolph and Shirley Groah; uncle, Carl "Buck" Stinnett; uncle, Richard "Bubba" Stinnett; and uncle, Jack Stinnett.

Blake is survived by his parents, Steve and April (Groah) Howell; his beloved younger brother, Brendan Howell; uncle, Chad "Chuck" Groah; uncle, Jeff Groah and his wife, Becky, and their children, Ashlynn and Ryan, whom he adored; son, Connor Groah and his mother Skylar Hawke; daughter, Avery Groah and her mother Amber Harris and her daughter, Kellyn; daughter, Scout;  aunt, Frances Terrell; special cousin, Dezi Bricker; loving neighbors, Roy and Connie Vest; numerous extended family and friends; and two devoted cats.

Blake and Austin came into this world together and sadly, they left it together, way too soon.  More than brothers,  more than twins…best friends.

A funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at McDow Funeral Home.  Pastor Daryl Via will be officiating.  Interment will immediately follow in Augusta Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at McDow Funeral Home.
