Bonnie (Lockerman) Brown, 93, a resident of Staunton, died Sunday, February 20, 2022 at Brightview at Baldwin Park.

A daughter of the late James Richard Lockerman and Bonnie (Jenette) Lockerman, she was born September 20, 1928 in Greensboro, NC.

Mrs. Brown grew up in Danville, Virginia and attended Sullins College. She graduated from Richmond Professional Institute of the College of William and Mary. She married Stuart LeRoy Brown, Jr. in 1953, to whom she was married for over 60 years until his death in 2014. Mrs. Brown worked for 35 years as an interior designer, most recently at Stedman House Interiors in Charlottesville.  She lived for many years in Waynesboro and Greenwood, Virginia.  Mrs. Brown had been a resident of Staunton since 1994.

She was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Greenwood.

She is survived by her two sons, Stuart L. Brown, III and his wife, Molly, of Staunton, and William B. Brown and his wife, Anne, of Columbus, Ohio; four grandchildren, Gordon, Ashley, and Carley Brown, and Mary (Brown) White.

A celebration of life will take place on April 16, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Greenwood, Virginia.
