Chalmers Holmes Goshorn III, 69, of Stuarts Draft passed away on Thursday March 6th, 2025 at the Hospice of the Piedmont Center for Acute Hospice Care.

He was born February 7th, 1956 a son of the late Chalmers H. Jr. and Janet (Thomas) Goshorn.

He was a member of Mountain View Mennonite Church and was a public school teacher for 15 years. Prior to teaching he worked as manager of Rocking R Hardware in Harrisonburg.

Survivors include his wife Melody Weaver Goshorn; sibling, Roxann Massey and husband David; brother in law, Jay Weaver; one niece, Chelsea and her husband Forrest.

Chalmers had a special interest in animals spending several years volunteering at the Virginia Wildlife Center. He enjoyed spending time with his Dachshund "Bentley".

Chalmers enjoyed working with wood which was shown in his many "Creative" woodworking projects he constructed during his life.

A celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday March 13, 2025 at Mountain View Mennonite Church officiated by Pastor's Earl Monroe and Bruce Hankee.

There will be no family night visitation.

Burial will be private.
