Charlie Edward Dunn Sr. went to be with the Lord, Saturday March 30th 2024 at Augusta Health with his loving wife of 50 years by his side.

Eddie was born on July 2nd 1949 to the late Randolph H. "Shorty" Dunn, and Margaret Ruth Cash Dunn.

He was also preceded in death by his sister Patricia Alice Lee Dunn.

He loved his grandchildren and great grandchild with all of his heart. It didn't matter where he was, or who he was talking to, he always told people about them. Eddie liked to pick and argue with them all. He especially liked to debate with Cheyenna, training our future lawyer. Eddie was a truck driver for most of his life, working for several companies. He retired from BSC. He had many friends there that he made a big impact on. One Very special friend Ralph Wetzel "Pistol Pete". They were inseparable inside and outside of work. Eddie loved to work with wood out in his shop. He made lots of amazing wood projects for his family and friends. He also enjoyed working on cars, lawn mowers and such. He had to keep his mowers running so he could mow the grass for his family, friends, and neighbors.

Eddie is survived by his loving wife Deborah L. Dunn, a brother Lewis Dunn and wife Brenda, Two sons Jack Richey and wife Allison, Charlie Edward "Butterbean" Dunn Jr. and wife Felicia, daughter Katina Pirkey and husband Brent; grandchildren, Zac Richey and Kodablu; three granddaughters Savannah Truxell and husband Jacob, Jackie Richey, Cheyenna Pirkey, and one great granddaughter Lily Richardson, two special brother in laws, Kenneth and Chester Kestner, and many special nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Saturday April 13th at 2:00 p.m. At Rejoicing Life Church 116 Draft Avenue, Stuarts Draft, Virginia, [The Old Schoolhouse Restaurant]

Funeral arrangements were made at McDow Funeral Home in Waynesboro.
