Clarence W. Shifflett, age 84, went to be with his Lord and savior on Sunday, July 28, 2024.  He passed peacefully.  He was born on September 25, 1939, son of the late George Washington Shifflett and Callie June Wood Shifflett of Crimora, VA.  In addition to his parents, Clarence was preceded in death by his wife, Isabelle Shifflett; sister, Nellie Gochenour; step-daughter, Debbie Presley; and step-son, Thomas (Tucker) Hevener.

Clarence is survived by his siblings, Herbert Shifflett (Peggy), Louise Shifflett (Larry), Roy  Shifflett, Carolyn Shifflett, Bonnie Shifflett, and Peggy Saenz; step-daughter, Catana Ferrier; step-grandchildren, Melissa Sprague (Mike), Rod Ferrier, and Megan Miller (Vernon); step grandchildren, Derril Wikel (Brenda), Lisa Fitzgerald (Lyle), and step great grandchild,  Tessa Sprague (Shawn); and numerous other extended family members.  Clarence is also survived by his beloved dog, Dot Dot.

A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Monday, August 5, 2024 at Augusta Memorial Park.  Pastor Troy Shifflett will be officiating.  Pallbearers will be Donnie Andrews, Scott Gochenour, Mike Sprague, Billy Morris, Sean Shifflett, and Eric Shifflett.  Honorary pallbearers will be Scott Decker, Donnie Comer, Glenn Brown, Roy Harlow, and David Botkin.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, August 4, 2024 at McDow Funeral Home.
