Clifton Marion Fitzgerald, 61, of Afton, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at Augusta Health in Fishersville. He was born Thursday, February 25, 1965, the son of the late Delbert K. and Minnie Bryant Fitzgerald. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Sherwood Fitzgerald.

Survivors include his wife, Wendy Keyton Fitzgerald, sons, William Fitzgerald and Cody Fitzgerald, as well as siblings, April Clark, Patricia Thompson and her husband Danny, Karen Nickell and her husband, Gary, and a brother, Sheldon Fitzgerald and his wife, Katie.

He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews as well as many great nieces and nephews.

Cliff was employed for more than 20 years by Jason Harvey Trucking. An avid gardener, he also had a great love for hunting. A “Jack of all trades” with numerous friends, he never met a stranger, and loved bluegrass music. Sitting by his fire pit or pool with his greatest loves, his wife and his two sons, was one of his greatest joys.

The family will receive friends Monday, June 29, 2026 from 5PM to 7PM at McDow Funeral Home in Waynesboro.

A graveside service will be conducted Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at 11:00 AM officiated by Robert Morris at Haines Chapel Cemetery in Raphine, Virginia.

Active pallbearers will be William Fitzgerald, Cody Fitzgerald, Mike Keyton, Dylan Keyton, Daniel Thompson, Patrick Thompson, Sheldon Fitzgerald, and Ken Bryant.
