If you knew or met Gale, you most certainly knew her smile. Family was by far the most important thing to Gale and most of her time and energy was focused there. But having been born in Waynesboro and then living there too, she touched the community in a variety of creative ways. These include teaching at Berkeley Glenn Elementary, Waynesboro Choral Society, Grace Lutheran Church and the hand bell choir, owning the Hoop n' Needle shop, working at The Purple Foot, and showcasing her art at the Waynesboro Art Center. She also loved working at NLRG in Charlottesville.
All services will be held privately by the family. They will receive friends and family who wish to pay respects from 10-4 on Saturday, December 17th at 1022 Lyndhurst Rd.
In lieu of flowers please instead consider a donation in her honor to the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank.
