Dakota Wayne Monroe born June 5, 2000 to Gary W. Monroe, Jr. and Brandi Mellinger passed away Saturday, October 16, 2021.

Dakota is survived by his father, Gary Monroe, Jr. and his fiancé, Mary Flint; mother, Brandi Mellinger; sister, Kasey Monroe and her boyfriend, Allen Bannan; aunt, Misty Monroe Hinchey and her husband, Daniel (Madilynn and McKinleigh); grandmother, Betty Monroe; great grandmother, Loretta V. Allen; great uncle, Melvin Moran and his wife, Faye; a close family friend, Shelby Heatherly as well as many other aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Gary W. Monroe, Sr.

A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday October 25, 2021 at McDow Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
