Matthew 25:23 "Well done, good and faithful servant, enter thou into the joy of thy Lord."

We can imagine these are the words David heard on September 9th, 2021, when he arrived at his heavenly home free from pain. You can only believe how happy he was to see his loved ones who had gone before him.
He was born September 14th, 1953 to the late Jacob A. and Alberta F. Pirkey. He was also preceded in death by his brother Joseph L. Pirkey. He attended Wilson Memorial High School and was employed by DuPont until his retirement in 1994.
David leaves behind his high school sweetheart and wife of 49 years, Darlene Lane Pirkey, who devotedly cared for him during his most painful days. His Son Brent , wife Katina, loving granddaughter Cheyenna Pirkey, sister Faye Bannon, husband Michael Bannon of Norfolk Virginia, and kitties Minnie and Rusty.
To witness David Pirkey was to observe true goodness. He enjoyed shopping with his wife Darlene, as well as eating out with family and friends and listening to his son's music.
A celebration of life will be held at Rejoicing Life Church, (Old Schoolhouse Restaurant), Stuarts Draft on September 25th. We will receive family and friends at 10 am and service will begin at 11am officiating Pastor Mike Lawson with lunch following service. The family invites everyone to celebrate with them. David is now pain free and in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We thank everyone for their prayers, kindness, and support. Our greatest hope is that all of his family and friends will get to see him in heaven.
