Deborah Massie Conner, 67, a resident of Stuarts Draft, was called home to be with her Heavenly Father, surrounded by her family, on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Augusta Health.

Debbie was born May 10, 1955 in Augusta County, a daughter of the late Harold R. Massie and Janet Smith Massie who survives.

Debbie was employed by Hollister, Inc. as a secretary when the plant was first established in Stuarts Draft. After retirement from Hollister, she was employed by the Augusta County Schools and most recently was secretary at the Shenandoah Valley Governor's School in Fishersville.

Debbie was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her loving husband of nearly 47 years, Doug W. Conner; a son, Travis W. Conner of Fishersville; a daughter, Tracy Conner Parsons and husband Matt of Morgantown, WV; 3 grandchildren, Chase Conner, Sarah Parsons, and Emma Parsons. Also, surviving are sisters, Carolyn Johnson (Andy), Crystal Massie and Kim Massie, in addition to a number of nieces and nephews.

Debbie was preceded in death by her brother, Harold Alexander "HA" Massie.

Services will be private.

Debbie often said, "May the work I have done speak for me".

Arrangements are being handled by McDow Funeral Home in Waynesboro.
