Dolly Everett Cooke Lawhorne, 89, of Afton passed away on Sunday, November 28, 2021.  She was born August 17, 1932, the daughter of the late Frank and Charlotte Slough Cooke. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Brown Lawhorne and sister Barbara Ann Crim of Rockville, MD.

Dolly was a member of the Rodes United Methodist Church and retired from General Electric. She is survived by her son Johnny Brown Lawhorne (Patricia); two grandsons, Jonathan Lawhorne (Christine) and Damian Lawhorne (Miranda); six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Charlotte Mae Spears and Nancy Lee Coupard; and six nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are being handled by McDow Funeral Home, Waynesboro. Family night will be held at McDow Funeral Home on Thursday, December 2 4:00 - 6:00 pm. A graveside service will be held Friday, December 3 at 11:00 am at Rodes United Methodist Church in Afton.
