Doris Mary Willey, 92, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on March 11, 2022.

Doris was born on May 4 ^th , 1929 in Newark, New Jersey to Cormack "Mack" and Violet Brennan.  Doris married Herbert George Franklin Willey Jr in 1949 and had three sons, Herbert III, Scott, and Paul.

After retiring, Doris and Herb moved to Stuarts Draft, VA.  Doris was an avid reader, enjoyed volunteering at the community Clothes Closet, and was an active member of the Order of the Amaranth. She was also a member of Finley Memorial Presbyterian Church and the Presbyterian Women.

Doris is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert, and her sisters, Helen and Barbara. She is survived by her sons, Herbert Willey III and wife Jaye, Scott Willey and wife Karen, and Paul Willey and wife Ann; her six grandchildren, April, Herbie, Carolyn, Heather, Paul Jr., and Amanda, nine great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

The family will accept visitors at McDow Funeral Home in Waynesboro, VA on Monday, March 14 ^th from 4pm-6pm. A Celebration of Life will be held at Finley Memorial Presbyterian Church, Stuarts Draft, VA on Tuesday, March 15 ^th at 2 pm by Rev. Thomas Carrico Jr.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Destiny Court #14, Order of the Amaranth, 8904 Anita Court, Manassas, VA 20110 to benefit the Amaranth Diabetes Foundation.
