Dorothy "Dotti" Cochrane, 84 passed away peacefully on Wednesday October 11, 2023 surrounded by family.

Born on July 31st 1939 to the Late Rene and Lillian Ranauto of NewYork

She retired from the prestigious Brandeis University where she was the Executive Secretary to the President of the university. She was a very proud resident of Summit Square Community, and loved the entire staff.

Dotti was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Cochrane.

As a lover of music, she was an accomplished singer with a beautiful alto voice, and also played piano, accordion and flute. She was a proud member of the Schola Cantorum of Waynesboro, and the choir at First Baptist Church of Waynesboro, Virginia. She also loved to travel, and was able to do that with her late husband.She had a strong sense of family, and loved being a Grandmother and Great-Grandmother.

She is survived by her children; Christopher, Amy and Erik and their spouses; Julie Johnson, Robert Dubois and Michelle Johnson, her 5 Grandchildren Laura Johnson, Michael Johnson, Joseph DiFraia, Nicole DuPont, Steven Johnson, And her 5 Great-Grandchildren; Carson, Averie, Jacob, Amelia and Jameson, Her sister Susan Springer of NY and Niece Lisa Dvoskin(NY) , her husband Gary Dvoskin (NY) and Nephew Timothy Springer (AZ).

The family would like to extend their appreciation to the entire staff at Summit Square and the doctors and nurses of Augusta Health Care.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00pm on Sunday, November 5th 2023 at First Baptist Church in Waynesboro VA.

In lieu of flowers donations to Summit Square Fellowship Fund or Waynesboro Symphony Orchestra would be appreciated.
