Erskine "E.J." James Sink went to be with the Lord on October 16, 2021.  He was born July 24, 1941 to the late Erskine and Ruby Sink of Covington, Virginia.  He was preceded in death by his brother Dan Caldwell, and his grandson Michael R. Bolling.

E.J. is survived by his wife of 56 years, Linda C. Sink; his daughter Lisa Bolling and her husband Ron; his son Todd Sink and his wife Margie; his grandson Bryan Persinger and his wife Sarah; his granddaughter Stephanie Brookman and her husband Rex; 4 great grandchildren; and sister Debbie Kennedy and her husband Herbert.

Erskine served in the United States Marine Corps for 24 years.  He was a retired Veterans Claims Agent for the state of Virginia.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Boiling Springs Fire and Rescue, 5407 Potts Creek Road, Covington, Virginia  24426, as well as  Fisher House Foundation, Inc. 12300 Twinbrook Pkwy, Suite 410, Rockville, MD 20852.

A private memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
