Eugene Henry Howell, age 92, of Fort Defiance died on July 06, 2024 at his residence with his loving family by his side.  Born May 14, 1932, he was the son of the late Eugene Samuel Howell and Rachel Marie Fultz Howell.

Henry was a faithful member of Wayside Baptist Church where he and his family attended.  He worked at Crompton and E.I. DuPont where he retired from in 1998.  He was a graduate of Wilson Memorial High School.

Mr. Howell is survived by his wife of 63 years, Rachel Marie Fultz Howell; three daughters, Lisa Ellen Howell, Donna Kaye Howell Michael, and Rebecca Lynn Howell Baton; grandsons, Richard Hoover, Dustin Mickles, Anthony Mickles, Jake Howell, and Adan Baton; granddaughters, Adrienne Hoover, Ashley Howell, and Kaytlen Baton; and  8 great-grandchilren.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at McDow Funeral Home from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm.

A graveside funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at Augusta Memorial Park at 11:00 am.
