I Am A Child of God
~ by Evelyn Christine Powell (Carter) 1945 age 17 years

I am a child of God,
Seeking only for His will,
And on the hardship road
He whispers "Peace be still."

Someday when He shall come
And all the strife is oar,
I'll find my home sweet home
On Heaven's golden shore.

Oh come to Him dear friend,
And seek Him while you may
Before this life shall end
And you the ransom pay.
