Flora L. Walck, 87, of Waynesboro passed away July 31, 2020 at The Retreat at Fishersville.

She was born April 28, 1933 to the late Harold T. and Delta E. Carpenter of Wayne, Ohio. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Jean. On November 26, 1953 she married Robert E. Walck Jr. who preceded her in death in 2012

She is survived by her sons, Robert E. Walck III (Karen) and Harold L. Walck; sister, Donna Zeigler; grandchildren, Sarah Altic (Nick) and Hunter Walck.

Flo graduated from the Flower Hospital School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse in 1954. She served as a surgical nurse at St. Luke's Hospital, Bethlehem, Pa. After a short nursing career she devoted her life to her family. She was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church where she led the churches Meals on Wheels rotation every November for over 30 years. She sang in the church choir for over 50 years. She was involved with various youth baseball leagues including the Waynesboro Generals. She organized numerous fundraisers through Aid Association for Lutherans and was a volunteer nurse for the American Red Cross blood drives, a Red Cross swimming instructor here in Waynesboro.

A graveside service will be held on 10:00 a.m. Wednesday August 5, 2020 at Riverview Cemetery with Pastor Paul Pingle presiding.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 500 South Wayne Ave. Waynesboro Va. 22980 or to the American Cancer Society.
