Freddie Lee Pleasants, 77, passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2022.  Born January 19 ^th , 1945 he was the son of the late John Henry and the late Pearl Madeline (Snyder) Pleasants of Waynesboro, Virginia.  Freddie was preceded in death by brother, Ray Dennis Pleasants.  Survivors include former wife Susan Yvonne Robinson Pleasants, son Tracy Lee Pleasants (Eric Vinores) of Frederick, Maryland.  Sister-in-Law Sandra Pleasants Beadles (Irv) of Waynesboro, Virginia.  Also, niece Debbie McLaughlin (Darrell) of Moneta, Virginia, niece Jeanette Hall (David Huff) of Stuarts Draft, Virginia, and nephew John Pleasants (Jaime) of Fishersville, Virginia.

Freddie graduated from Waynesboro High School and was drafted into the US Army in 1965.  He retired from GE/Genicom after working there for over 32 years.  He then went to work at UVA Transportation Department for an additional 10 years of service.

Freddie enjoyed drag racing cars, maintaining and fixing them up.  He has many trophies to show for his efforts.  He not only raced locally, but various tracks across VA.

A grave side service will be conducted at 2:00 pm, on Saturday, October 8 ^th , 2022 at Augusta Memorial Park. The Rev. Kristen Koger of Waynesboro First Baptist Church will be officiating.

A private family celebration will be held after the grave side service.
