George "JR" William Rosson, Jr. passed away Wednesday May 28, 2025 surrounded by family at Augusta Health in Fishersville.

Born on April 25, 1954 he was the son of the late George William Rosson Sr. and Hattie Coleman of Crimora.

"JR" you could say was an avid outdoorsman he liked to bear hunt with his dogs and rode his horses almost daily. He retired from V-DOT after 30 years of service and Southern States where he worked also.

"JR" was preceded in death by his wife Shelby Rosson; son, Greg Rosson; grandson, Gregory Rosson; brother, Jimmie Rosson; father, George Rosson Sr.

Survivors include daughters Rose Rosson; Ashley Rosson-Payne, Jessica Rosson; son, Randy Rosson; brother, Mingo Coleman and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and a special friend Tammy.

A visitation will be held Wednesday June 4, 2025 at McDow Funeral Home from 5 to 7 pm.
