Gloria Jane Crapser, 101 passed away peacefully Sunday, December 8, 2024 at Summit Square.
She was born October 26, 1923 to the late John A. Greuel and the late Alma Wolsky nee Zumhagen in West Allis, Wisconsin.
Gloria is predeceased by her first husband Randolph M. Lynch and her second husband Theodore L. Crapser; son, Patrick M. Lynch of Winston-Salem North Carolina; step grandson, Bennett Persons; and sisters, Delores Kieker and Lois Wisniewski.
Gloria was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church and an Associate member of Grace Lutheran by the Sea, Nags Head, North Carolina. She received musical training in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was a member of the Royal Collegians Marimba Band and the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra. Gloria served as organist at Bethany Lutheran Church for 45 years and Minister of Music for 30 years. She was a piano and organ teacher, also music teacher and band director at Bethany Lutheran School and provided organ music for the McDow Funeral Home for 52 years.
Gloria was a former Sub-Dean for local chapter of American Guild of Organists and a member of the Association of Lutheran Church Musicians.
Surviving family include partner, David Rowley; son, Larry Lynch (Eleanor) of Richmond; daughter, Karen Lynch of Waynesboro; sister, Nancy Goede of Wisconsin; daughter-in-law, Carla Lynch; step children, Heather Hegg, of Haymarket; Ellen Persons (Drew) of Baltimore; grand children, Robert R. Lynch (Monika), Michaele Crawford (Derek), Robin Lynch (Matt) and Tracy Geminden (Michael), Leslie Stansbury (Michael) and Catherine Lynch (David) ; step-grand childen, Conner Hegg, Jodis Hegg, Brynn Persons, and Sean Persons; and great grandchildren, Collin Cramner, Mathew Cramner, Kaleb (Geminden) Simpson, Allegra Green, Mikah Geminden ,Sarah Geminden, Luke Crawford, Grace Crawford, Harrison Lynch, Hayden Lynch, and Virginia Lynch.
A memorial service will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday May 3, 2025 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Crimora officiated by Pastor Tim Bohlman.
