Heather Elizabeth Bareham, 56, a resident of Waynesboro, VA, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at the University of Virginia Medical Center.

She was born April 6, 1968 in Rochester, NY, daughter of Harry James Bareham and Barbara Luke Bareham.

Growing up on a farm in Genoa, NY, she developed a love of animals that would last throughout her life.

Heather was a 1984 graduate of Southern Cayuga Central School.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her brother, Derek Bareham and his wife Fay; aunts, Sandra Stephenson and Barbara Luke; nephews, Nathaniel  Bareham, Patrick Bareham and his wife Jessica, and Ryan Bareham; niece, Amber Drury and husband Andrew, with their son Malachai ; numerous special cousins; the love of her life, William Paul Byrd; and a special friend, Elizabeth Lane.

There will be no formal services.

In keeping with Heather's love for animals, it would make her very happy if memorial contributions were directed in her name to the Shenandoah Valley Animal Services Center, 1001 Mt. Torrey Road, Lyndhurst, VA 22952.
