Helen Lee Cline, age 86, passed away on Sunday July 27, 2025 at the Stuarts Draft Retirement Community where she had resided the last several years.

Born on May 9, 1939 in Fishersville, Va she was the daughter of the late William E and Helen M Null.  She lived in Augusta County almost her entire life except for one year while her husband, the late Roderick L Cline, served in the Army.  They married at her parent's Fishersville home on April 1, 1959 with her late sister Betty Ruth Eavers serving as her maid of honor.

She graduated from Wilson Memorial High School in 1956 and from the Kings Daughters School of Practical Nursing in 1958.  In 1968 she earned the designation of Psychiatric Practical Nurse.

During Helen's career she worked at Kings Daughters, Riverside -Newport News, Waynesboro Community, and Western State Hospitals.  She was also the Director of the Stuarts Draft Senior Center.  She did this all while, raising her two sons Gregory M. Cline (Jill) and Randall L. Cline (Suzanne) who were by her side when she passed.

She is survived by four grandsons, Randall A. Cline, Justin R. Cline, Keven M. Cline and Ike G. Cline. She will also be missed by her three great granddaughters, Riley, Eleanor and Zoey.  Her nephew and nieces Gary, Rhonda and Amy also held a special place in her heart.

Helen loved to travel and camp. Loft Mountain, VA and Emerald Isle NC were two of her favorite camping spots.  She has visited every state on the east coast and also some adjoining states and also traveled to Hawaii.  Helen, having never flown before, boarded a flight just days after the 9/11 attacks, to Italy.  There she lived for several weeks with a former co-worker's family.  While in Italy she traveled throughout the country, attended a wedding, and tutored a young lady in English.

She left her family with extensive genealogical research including individual albums for her sons, grandsons, and great granddaughters.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Stuarts Draft Christian Home and Hospice of the Shenandoah for Helen's care.

There will be no public viewing or visitation.

The family will have a private celebration of life at a later date.
