Hughie (known as Hugh) Franklin Robertshaw of Waynesboro passed away peacefully Saturday April 25th, 2026.
He was born to the late Horace and the late Nellie (Tierney) Robertshaw, Sr. on September 8th, 1937 in Pennsylvania and is predeceased by the love of his life Kathleen Will Robertshaw on April 20th, 2022; four brothers; Harry (Sally) Robertshaw, Jack Robertshaw and Ronald Robertshaw, Horace Robertshaw, Jr. (Delda); Father in law, Frances De Sales; Mother in law, Catherine (Lucken) Will; two brother in laws, Paul Joseph (Tish) Will and Louis T. Renner.
Hugh attended Main Street United Methodist Church. He served in the United States Army and the Army Reserve assigned to the 429th Engineering Battalion, Greensburg, Pennsylvania. He was a 50 year Mason a member of Infinity 546 Masonic Lodge in Verona, Pennsylvania. Hugh was a member of the Grand Council of Pennsylvania, received the Medal of Malta and a member of the Shiners' and a past president of the Toastmasters International.
Surviving family are daughter, Jennifer Robertshaw; one son, Michael Robertshaw and his wife (Jennifer Tinder) and their son Hunter Tinder; in-laws, Elizabeth Robertshaw, Elaine Robertshaw, Carol Renner, Bob (Barbara) Will and many nieces, nephews and close friends.
A visitation will be held 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday May 5th, 2026 at McDow Funeral Home.
A Graveside Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday May 6th, 2026 at the Riverview Cemetery officiated by Pastor Morris Fleischer with Military Honors by the U.S. Army and a Masonic Service by Lee Lodge #209.
Active pallbearers will be Phil Waser, Dan Wolfe, Joel Gillespie, John Tindall, Brent Hull and Hunter Tinder.
A Celebration of Life service will be held 1:00 p.m. May 6th, 2026 at Main Street United Methodist Church officiated by Pastor Morris Fleischer.
In lieu of flowers please consider a memorial to the Hospice of the Shenandoah, 78 Medical Center Drive, Fishersville, Va. 22939.
