James (Jim) Brooks went to be with the Lord February 5, 2022.

He was born on October 8, 1941.

Jim is survived by his wife, Annette Brooks; three sons Jeff Brooks (Susie), Chris Respess (Charlene), Douglas Respess; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his faithful companions Princess and Morkin. He is preceded in death by his parents Cecil and Janette Brooks and son Adam Brooks. A service will be held Thursday, February 10 at 1:00pm at New Life Baptist Church in Fort Defiance, Virginia with a visitation at 12:00 noon.
