James Russell "Jimmy" Rodgers, 65, a longtime resident of Waynesboro, VA, passed away Thursday February 11, 2021.

Son of the late Robert H. Rodgers and Helen (Mays) Rodgers, he was born July 3, 1955 in Staunton, VA.

His work included the General Wayne, Waynesboro Comfort Inn, and Goodwill where he retired. Jimmy was a member of the Supper Club and a faithful member of the White Hill Church of the Brethren. He was loved by many and enjoyed helping everyone.

He is survived by the "bestest" friend in the whole world, Janey Koch; Donald Kesner, Earl Hall, Birdie Brooks, and Dale Childress.

Friends will be received at 12:00 PM Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at White Hill Church of the Brethren. A graveside service will follow at 1:00 PM in the church cemetery, officiated by Pastor Dave Chappell. Pallbearers will be Ken Slack, Jami Shipe, Jimmy Madison, Mitch Moore, Aron Thompson, and Danny Grant.

In lieu of flowers, it is kindly asked that donations in his name be made to the White Hill Church of the Brethren. If you wish to send flowers, please have them sent directly to the church.
