James C. Koschara of Nellysford, VA, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2025 in his home surrounded by his family and friends."Jimmy" was born December 21, 1967 in New York to James C. (Sr.) and Patricia Mills Koschara (who now reside in Florida). He was a self-employed contractor who contributed to the development of many homes in the Wintergreen Community and across Nelson County.

In addition to his parents, Jimmy is survived by his loving children Hunter and his wife Mikaela, Cole, and Camryn Koschara, all of Nellysford, VA. He is also survived by his brothers Greg Kalakoc and Steve Koschara, and sister Lisa Horning.

Jimmy was a dedicated member of the Virginia Forestry Department, a member of The Point Church in Charlottesville, VA, and an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed playing golf, attending live music shows, and traveling, especially beach trips to the Outerbanks of North Carolina with family and friends.

Jimmy was a supportive and uplifting family member and friend. He loved to laugh and enjoy even the most simple of times. He was so proud of his family and friends and all of their accomplishments. Jimmy was generous to a fault; he would share anything he had. Everyone always felt better after spending time with him, and that is a special gift.

Jimmy will be greatly missed in his community and amongst his family and many friends. Everyone has repeated the same sentiment "there will never be another like Jimmy".

The family wishes to thank the amazing Oncology Staff of Augusta Medical Center in Fishersville, VA, and Jeannie and Nicole of Augusta Health Hospice of the Shenandoah.
