Jane Ellen (Pierson) Loney, 69, a resident of Waynesboro, VA, passed away Monday April 26, 2021 at Augusta Health.

She was born November 7, 1951 in New Jersey, a daughter of the late John A. Pierson and Ruth (Dunne) Pierson.

After graduating from high school, she attended West Liberty University School of Dentistry, West Virginia, obtaining her certificate as a Dental Hygienist. Her career took her to Australia, Switzerland, and New Jersey. Jane received her Bachelors Degree in teaching from Brigham Young University, and taught English there until 1989, before moving to Virginia.

She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Ron Loney; son, Owen Loney; daughters, Carrie, Jennifer, and Autumn; brother, John Pierson, Jr.; sisters, Fran Hansbrough, Kristin Crate, Mary Coleman, and Martha Payne; and a very dear friend, Donna Lambert.

Services will be private for her family.
