JANET LEONTINE FITZGERALD WAGNER

Janet Leontine Fitzgerald Wagner, 89, died peacefully on August 1, 2025, in Waynesboro, VA. She was born March 14, 1936 in Waynesboro, VA to the late Leontine Taylor Landes.  Janet graduated from Waynesboro High School and lived most of her life in Waynesboro.  She was married to her high school sweetheart for 65 years, Franklin Downey Wagner, who preceded her in death on October 14, 2021.

Janet was a homemaker, raising her 3 children.  Later, she worked at the Waynesboro Library.  She enjoyed church activities at First Baptist Waynesboro.  She enjoyed crafting, especially knitting and crocheting.

In addition to her mother and beloved husband, she was preceded in death by her special aunt, Joyce Taylor, as well as numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Janet is survived by her children, Tony (Karen), Barbara (Scott), and Mark (Tandy), along with her grandchildren, Andrew, Brendan, Jake, Kristen, and great-granddaughter, Isabel.
