Jerry Frank Ponds passed away peacefully at home Saturday, February 18, 2023.

He was born July 7, 1934 to the late Frank and Wilma (Bennett) Ponds in Rockingham, North Carolina and preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth R. Ponds of Atlanta Georgia.

Jerry was a Navy veteran of the Korean War, serving on the USS Carrier "Randolph" for four years.

Before Early retirement he founded Ponds Welding and Radiator Company, Ponds Crane service and had other business interests in Waynesboro.  He was a member of the Waynesboro Elks Lodge.

Survivors include his wife Dorothy Critzer Ponds of 70 years; brother in law, James Critzer (Linda) and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held 1:00 PM, March 1, 2023 at Riverview Cemetery.
