Jo Alyce (Lackey) Wilkinson, 94, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2026 at the Regency of Augusta.

She was born January 24, 1932 in Mullins, South Carolina, a daughter of the late Russell and Nora (Sharpe) Lackey.

Jo was a graduate of Greensboro College. She held the position as an officer in the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, and earned her 50 year membership pin.

She worked as the Assistant Registrar for the city of Waynesboro.  After retiring, she volunteered at Augusta Health. She enjoyed playing golf and annual trips to Myrtle Beach.

Jo was a homemaker and devoted mother, Christian, and member of Fishersville United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jerry, to whom she was married for 56 years upon his death, and had dated since 11th grade; and a grandson, Isaiah Farmer.

Surviving are her children, John Wilkinson and his wife Janet, Ken Wilkinson and his wife Jill, Jay Wilkinson and his wife Paige, Leah Pardue and her husband Larry, Tricia East and her husband Torrey; 4 grandchildren, Eric Wilkinson, Rick Wilkinson, Alycia Bailey, and Mickey Baber; 6 great-grandchildren, Sawyer and Hudson Wilkinson, Asher and Eliza Jo Bailey, Roxy and Tavian Baber.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Monday April 27th at McDow Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held from 9:00 am until 10:00 am Tuesday April 28th in the chapel of McDow Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Peter Choi. Interment will follow at an 11:00 am graveside in Augusta Memorial Park.
