Joan Boulet Ward, 81 passed away on Wednesday August 22, 2024 in Fishersville, Virginia.
Born on January 31, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Olney and the late Oneita French Boulet of Edwards, New York.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband Jack Ward; three sisters, Carolyn Averill, Kay Hartley and Sally Ree

Joan attended Fishersville United Methodist Church. She graduated high school in 1960 from Edwards Central School and graduated from X-ray school in Plattsburgh, New York. She worked from 1962 to 1992 at various hospitals, the last seven years as a CT technician.

Survivors include two daughters, Amy and "Son" John Kingsley of Fishersville, Virginia and Jill Stevens of Waynesboro, Virginia; two brothers, Dave and Bill Schryer, and several beloved nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend our deepest appreciation for Dr. Christopher Heck and the entire staff of Hospice of the Shenandoah. Special thanks to Jeannie Pace who was not only Mom's hospice nurse but has also become an absolutely amazing friend.

A Memorial Service will be conducted at 11 AM on Friday August 30, 2024 at Fishersville United Methodist Church.
