Joe Reese Harris, age 70, died June 3, 2022 at Augusta Nursing and Rehab after a long illness.

He was born on January 1, 1952 in Chattanooga, TN. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Joe S. & Mary (Gann) Harris; an older brother, James (Ming) Harris; and one nephew, Bo Sipe.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Faye Harris. Additionally, his is survived by three sisters, Sarah and Dave Callison of Swoope, VA, Lizzie & Bobby Jones of Marlinton, WV, and Debbie Richardson of Jonesborough, TN; brother-in-law, Mike and Donna Rankin of Stuarts Draft, VA. He is survived by nephews, Garry Pack, Joshua Johnson, Loy and Elliott Jones; one niece, Olivia Jones; and special friend, Sue Taylor.

Joe was a 1971 graduate of Riverheads High School and was a avid hunter, fisherman, and cook.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 8 ^th from 5 PM until 6 PM at McDow Funeral Home. A memorial service will immediately follow in the chapel. Inurnment will be private for the family in Calvary United Methodist Church Cemetery.
