John Wayne Morris, 67, passed away Wednesday October 8, 2025 in Charlottesville.

Born on March 30, 1958 to the late John Otis and the late Margaret Campbell Morris of Afton, Virginia and a granddaughter Destiney who preceded him.

John loved Blue Grass music and reading and loved his grandchildren. He worked at Conagra for about 16 years before they shut down and after that he worked construction for Honeywell and Newton Morris up until retirement.

Surviving family are Daughter Sharmen Back and husband Brian; two sons, John Morris and wife Kari and Josh Morris and wife Jessica; eight grandchildren, Trinity Back, Joslynn Caldwell, Emily Caldwell, Olivia Morris, Brantley Back, Landon Back, Elijah Morris, and Harley Johnson; sister, Patricia Hall and husband Donald; two brothers, Billy Morris and wife Teresa and James Morris and wife Sandy.

A special niece Angela Morris who handled his health care along with so much more, and nephew William Dakota Morris who helped him with appointments and around the house. Along with several other nieces and nephews he loved dearly.

Per his wishes he will be cremated and all services will be announced at a later date.
