Joseph Samuel McMillan, II, a resident of Waynesboro, Virginia, passed away Friday January 16, 2026 at his home.

He was born June 28, 1957 in Germany, a son of the late Joseph Samuel McMillan and Nancy (Fitch) McMillan.

He grew up in El Paso, Texas before moving to Waynesboro. He retired after working 40 years with the University of Virginia Medical Center, in the Prosthetics and Orthotics department.

Joseph was an avid college basket ball fan, especially the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP Miners). He loved reading and enjoyed spending time with his cats, Lenny and Lavern.

Surviving are his sister, Brenda J. McMillan of Waynesboro; brother, James E. McMillan of Gatesville, Texas; and uncle, Chase Fitch and his wife Katie of Lyndhurst, Virginia.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, February 7, 2026 at McDow Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Bill Cole.
