Judy (Hewitt) Kite, 77, a longtime resident of Waynesboro, VA, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at her residence.

A daughter of the late Atwell Hewitt and  "Mildred" Hoover Woods, she was born April 19, 1945 in Charlottesville, VA.

She was a member of Central Baptist Church and retired from Genicom.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Allen Kite.

Surviving are her son, Corey Wayne Kite and his wife Sarah of Gore, VA; 2 daughters, Kimberly Shifflett and her husband Alden of Elkton, VA, and Pamela Guthridge and her husband Thilo of Charlotte, NC; 7 grandchildren, Reagan Kite, Simeon Kite, Holli Bland, Canaan Shifflett, Summer Whitelock, Wesley Guthridge, and Lindsey Guthridge; 4 great-grandchildren, Savannah Janzen, Xander Bland, Silas Shifflett, and Eliza Shifflett; 4 brothers, Lowell Hewitt (Gloria), Wayne Hewitt (Becky), Bruce Hewitt (Lily), and Marlin Hewitt (Theresa).

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 9, 2022 in Mt. Olivet Community Cemetery in McGaheysville, officiated by Rev. Ely Guzman.

There will be no formal visitation at McDow Funeral Home.
