Judy P. King, age 77, passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2025.  She was born December 6, 1947 to the late Ballard Sexton and Beulah Shively of Bassett, VA.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, The Rev. Jonathan E. King and her son, Jonathan Mark King.

Judy is survived by her children, daughter, Donna Gentry and husband, Mike Gentry; son, Scott King, daughter, Melody King, son-in-law, Vincent "Chip" Mendicino; and daughter-in-law, Penny King (wife of J. Mark King). Judy was an instructional aide with Waynesboro and Charlottesville public school systems for over twenty years. She served as First Lady over many congregations for over forty-five years.  Judy was a very prominent figure in her grandchildren's and great grandchildren's lives. She spent countless hours of the years attending many sporting events, parties, school functions and time with all her grands.  She was not only the best Nana to her own 10 grandkids and nine great grandkids, but to a host of many others. She loved God, family, and being the best pastor's wife she could be. She spent her life being an exemplary steward of God's word

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am-11:30 am on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at McDow Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be private with Reverend Sharon Quesenberry officiating.
