Kenneth "Mike" Cook, age 64, passed away in his home on 1/3/2026 after a courageous battle with glioblastoma.

Mike was born 8/13/1961 at Fort Bragg, NC and resided in Waynesboro VA. He was preceded in death by his sister, Monica Samuel.

Mike is survived by his wife, Karen Cook; parents, Kenneth and Josephine Cook; sister, Cynthia Godwin; son, Robbie and Angela Cook; son, Daniel and Alexandra Cook; son, William Jr. and Jill Townsend; daughter, April Townsend; 8 Grandchildren,  Aubree, Thomas, Jerimiah, William III, Richard, Haylee, Charlie, Jonny; and  special companions Marianne and Buttercup.

Mike was a graduate of  Wilson Memorial HS and was retired from Dorma USA as an automatic door mechanic.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Thursday evening, January 8, 2026 at McDow Funeral Home.
