Kenneth F. "Fishie" Monroe, 93, of Fishersville went to be with his Lord on Thursday February 3, 2022 at his residence.

He was born July 27, 1928  in Augusta County to the late Charles and Geneva (Cash) Monroe.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Mary  (Foster) Monroe; a daughter, Susan Doughtry; brothers, Paul, Chester, and David Monroe.

Surviving family are son, K. Michael Monroe; daughters, Sharon and Jeanie Monroe, Rhonda Phillips and husband Jene; brother, Larry Monroe; and sister, Audry Jack. He was blessed with six grandchildren and six great grandchildren, whom he cherished.

He was a lifelong member of Fishersville Baptist Church where he taught youth boys and then children.

Mr. Monroe was an avid reader and enjoyed hunting and spending time with his grand and great-grandchildren.

There will be no services at this time, however family and friends may visit at the home of his daughter Sharon and Jeanie Monroe.
