Obituary

Kimberly Kimmell Robson passed away on February 12, 2022 at her residence, unexpectedly
to her family and friends but most expectantly to her Heavenly Father. For 53 years she was
married to her beloved husband, Dr. Robert Robson, who passed away in Sept. 2020. She
leaves behind two sons, Todd Robson and his wife Studley Robson and Jason Robson and his
fiancee Tina Arehart; nine grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Pam Kimmell of
Illinois.
Kim was raised in Illinois. After marrying Dr. Bob and finishing x-ray technology school, she and
her family moved to Virginia in 1969. For many years she worked as an x-ray tech at
Waynesboro General Hospital and Drs. Row and Anderson's office. When her two sons were
ages nine and five, Kim decided to take a break from the public workforce and be a
stay-at-home mother. She cherished that time with her sons. Eventually she found herself back
in the public workforce as office manager for her husband's chiropractic office. She simply loved
interacting with his patients, so much so that after Bob's passing she worked one day a week at
her son, Dr. Todd's chiropractic office just so she could see those same dear patients again.
Like her husband, Kim was working up until the day of her passing.
Kim's greatest passion was Jesus Christ. Either as a house mom at Oakleigh Christian Retreats
mentoring young women or later as a Sunday school teacher at Community Fellowship Church
teaching young children about Christ, she faithfully served her Savior. She loved reading the
Word of God. In addition to her service to Christ, Kim also enjoyed spending time with her
grandchildren and great grandchildren either taking them out for their birthdays, playing
Parcheesi, attending dramas, or cheering in the stands at football games, soccer matches, and
wrestling tournaments. She simply enjoyed her life.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, Feb. 21, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at the Grace Christian
School Activities Center, 1218 Middlebrook Ave., Staunton. Family will receive friends
immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to one of Kim's favorite ministries, Samaritan's Purse -
Operation Christmas Child, which provides Christmas boxes to needy children throughout the
world.
McDow Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Memories and condolences
may be shared with family at mcdowfuneralhomeinc.com.
