Lillian Kay Wheeler, age 77, passed away on Friday, July 28th, 2023.  Born on December 6th, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Jesse McCrary and the late Pauline Mann of Grottoes Virginia. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Wayne L. Wheeler Sr. and brother, Gerald McCrary.

Survivors include her son, Wayne L. Wheeler Jr. and his wife Kristy Wheeler of Waynesboro; brother Jesse McCray and his girlfriend Yvonne; brother Richard McCrary and his wife Judy; and her brother John McCrary.

She was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker who graduated from Waynesboro High School in 1964. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Augusta Nursing and Rehab for their efforts and degree of care and to Uncle Jesse McCrary for all of his help.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Waynesboro First Aid Crew or the National Police Memorial Fund.

A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
