Lisa K. Ferrier Marrs, age 59, was welcomed into the waiting arms of Jesus on Saturday, December 4, 2021.

Mrs. Marrs was born in Waynesboro, Virginia on August 1, 1962.  She was preceded in death by her infant sister, Patti Gayle Ferrier, and her brothers, Kevin Ferrier and Ritchie Ferrier.   She is survived by her parents, Bill and Pat Ferrier and her husband, Dennis Marrs.  She also leaves behind her sister-in-law, Tana Ferrier.  She will be dearly missed by her nephew, Rod Ferrier; her nieces, Megan Miller (Vernon) and Melissa Sprague (Mike); her great nieces, Kylee, Ashlyn, Nicole, and Beckah Miller, Tessa Sprague, Cierra and Cheyenne Ferrier; and her great nephews, Ian and Dylan Ferrier.  Lisa (Lightening) was a faithful, loving friend to many.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Friday, December 10, 2021 at West Waynesboro Church of Christ where Lisa was a lifelong member.  Pastor Chad Grondin will be officiating.  Burial will immediately follow in Beech Grove Cemetery, Roseland, VA.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am-11:00 am on Friday, December 10, 2021 at West Waynesboro Church of Christ.

Pallbearers will be Rod Ferrier, Vernon Miller, Pete Marrs, Greg Ferrier, Louis Ferrier, Ian Ferrier, Dylan Ferrier, and Chris Huffman.  Honorary pallbearers will be Mary Bragg, Becky Fitzgerald, Jennifer Mayo, Diane Spurlock, Sharon Claytor, Deb Bage, Polly Broyles, Tobi Broyles, Jackie Hewitt, Virginia Bunch, Brenda Taillon, Brandi Huffman, Patricia Beals, Michael Sprague, Kevin Wilberger, Bill Rea, and Carlton Marrs.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to West Waynesboro Church of Christ Food Bank, 2212 Cortland St., Waynesboro, VA  22980.
