Obituary

Lois C. Dettweiler, passed away on Sunday December 31, 2023.

Born in Souderton, Pennsylvania April 2, 1941 to the late William K. and Edith Sheaffer Cramer.

She was preceded in death by her husband Wilbur of 51 years, two daughters, Melody Dettweiler and Sylvia Rodson.

Surviving are her children Donna (Richard) Marshall, Sharon (Gilbert) Yoder, Esther Maher, Susan (Brent) Wilhide, Nathan Dettweiler, Tim (Drew) Dettweiler, Crystal (Daniel) Piper, nineteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews.

Surviving siblings are; Reuel (Harriet) Cramer, Naomi (Artie) Trembly, Mary (Robert) Lee, Esther (Clarence) Gabel, Paul (Mary) Cramer.

Many thanks to her very special niece and caregiver; Heidi Crouch.

Lois was a talented seamstress that sewed for her children, grand children and many others, a wonderful mother, sister, aunt and a wonderful cook. She taught many children in Sunday school.

A family night will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday January 4th, 2024 at McDow Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday January 5, 2024 in the McDow Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Pastor Ryan McCully and Pastor Daniel Hines. Burial to follow at Augusta Memorial Park. Pallbearers' will be the grandchildren.
