Loretta J. Sutton, 77, a resident of Staunton, VA, passed away on Saturday November 19, 2022.

She was born December 19, 1944, daughter of the late Maurice and Dallas Livick of Staunton, VA.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughter, Dalla Sutton; granddaughter, Ashley Sutton; 2 brothers, James Livick and Richard Livick.

Surviving are her son, Gene Sutton and wife Debbie of Waynesboro, VA; granddaughter, Claria Dawkins and husband Styles; sister, Marcy Cormier and husband John of Winchester, VA; 2 step-granddaughters, Holly Dean of Waynesboro and Lauren Byrd of TX; great-grandchildren, Ares and Shikaria Dawkins; and step-great-granddaughter, Rileigh Via of Waynesboro, VA.

She graduated from Wilson Memorial High School.

Loretta retired from Western State Hospital where she had worked as a receptionist and care aide.

The family will receive friends from 5 PM until 6 PM on Tuesday November 29, 2022 at McDow Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the American Heart Association, or Pleasant View Lutheran Church.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to Hospice of the Shenandoah, the staff of Kings' Daughters' Nursing Home, and special friends Donna, Rita and Gloria.
