Margie Ann (French) Powell, 70, a resident of Staunton, VA, passed away Sunday, July 9, 2023 at Augusta Health, with her family by her side.

She was born January 19, 1953 in Richland, VA, a daughter of the late Archie Pendleton French and Dovie (Andrews) French.

She retired as a CNA Med-Tech to stay at home and raise her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Wayne Powell, Sr.; her son, Michael Wayne Powell; brothers, Johnnie French and G.A. French.

Surviving are her sons, Russell Wayne Powell, Jr., and Thomas Powell; daughter, Teresa Wine (Jon Gordon); grandchildren, Faith Powell, Amanda Powell, Thomas David Wayne Powell, Elijah Gordon, Kaleb Gordon, Isaiah Gordon, Maxine Peregory (Woody), Kolby Powell and Virginia Powell; great-grandchildren, Braxxton Powell and Adlee Powell; and her two dogs, "Bear" and "Bailey".

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, July 13, 2023 in Mountain View Mennonite Church Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society.
