Marjorie Knight Dudley, 90, of Waynesboro, Virginia, passed away on March 28, 2023 at her residence.

Marjorie was born on July 13, 1932, in Greene, County Va. to the late Homer Knight and Evy Morris

Knight. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Franklin Dudley Sr.; sisters Lorene Knight

Shifflett, Fannie "Leah" Knight and Ethel "Frances" Knight; brother-in-law Huey Elwood Shifflett; nephew

Mitchell "Mitch" Shifflett; niece Michele Ann Shifflett.

She is survived by her children George Dudley Jr., John Dudley (Teresa), and Jenny Allen (Glen);

Grandchildren Justino Palacios, Jolie Dudley, Jillian Fritz, Reagan Allen, and Rachel Allen.

She was a stay-at-home mom and in the later years she worked as a paper inserter at the News

Virginian. She loved spending holiday dinners with her sisters and her children. Her greatest joy was

seeing her grandchildren and spending time with them.
