Martha Sheaffer Palmer, 98, passed away peacefully June 26, 2025. She resided at Stuarts Draft Retirement Community at the Meadows, Stuarts Draft, Virginia.

Martha was preceded in death by her husband William "Elbo" Palmer. She is survived by her children Marsha Ward of Harrisburg, PA, Sherry (Jim) Bunyard of Waynesboro, VA, and Earl (Kim) Palmer of Hedgesville, WVA. She has seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Also surviving is her sister Ruth Daugherty of Lancaster, PA.

Martha loved gardening, needlework and enjoyed her church. She has been a woman of great faith. She is loved and will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 11, 2025, at Mount Vernon Church of the Brethren. A private interment will precede the service.  All friends and family are invited to share in a meal at the church immediately following the service.
