Mary Carol (Beverage) Evans, 80, a resident of Waynesboro, VA, passed away Monday January 11, 2021 at Shenandoah Nursing Home.
A daughter of the late Lee and Mabel (Shifflett) Beverage, she was born April 1, 1940 in Pocahontas County, WVA.
She was retired from Hugh Cassell Elementary School, where she worked for 15 years.

In her pastime, she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, and gardening.

Mrs. Evans was a faithful member of the Grubert Avenue Church of God in Staunton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Evans; daughter, Barbara Evans; brothers, Howard Beverage, Donald Beverage, Kyle Beverage, Ernie Beverage, Jim Beverage, Boud Beverage, and half brother, Wilson Shifflett.

Surviving are her children, Billy Evans and wife Sonya of Fielddale, VA, Cindy Fleming and husband Freddie of Waynesboro, VA Michael Evans and wife Jennifer of Stanley, VA, Carolyn Fisher of Waynesboro, VA and Thomas Evans of Stuarts Draft, VA; 20 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren; sisters, Maxine McKee and husband Barry of Ogden, KS, Marie McKee and husband Ron of Waynesboro, VA, Margie Courtney and husband James of Kerneysville, WVA, Valley Williams of Staunton, VA; a very special sister-in-law, Darlene Beverage; and a very loving granddaughter that took care of and was always there for her grandmother any hour of the day or night, Rachel Cline.

A private funeral service for the family will be held Thursday, January 14, 2021. A graveside service for all to attend will be held at 12:30 PM Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Augusta Memorial Park, officiated by Pastor Dave Ball.
